Drum bearing wear went from fine to ruined in 6 loads
Pulled a washer apart yesterday for a customer in Arvada and the rear bearing was shot, chunks of metal in the tub. I had serviced this same machine 8 months ago and it was clean, no play at all. The owner told me they moved it into a basement themselves and dragged it across the floor. That jolt likely cracked the bearing race, then every spin cycle hammered it until it gave up. Check for that before you blame the motor or the control board on any intermittent noise. Anyone else seen sudden bearing failure after a rough move like that?

Man, did the customer tell you they drained the water before dragging it?
