My worm bin went anaerobic for 2 weeks until a neighbor showed me a fix
I overfed my red wigglers last month and the bin started smelling like rotten eggs, turns out drilling a few extra air holes and adding shredded cardboard on top saved the whole thing. Anyone else had luck fixing sour bins with just more airflow?

Laughing at myself because I DID the exact same thing last year, basically turned my worm bin into a toxic waste dump with my overfeeding enthusiasm. The rotten egg smell was so bad my wife threatened to move the bin to the backyard. More air holes and a thick layer of dry cardboard on top worked wonders for me too, it's like the worms just needed to breathe and have a dry spot to hang out. Now I keep a bag of torn up cardboard next to the bin and throw a handful in every time I feed them, haven't had the stink come back since.

Isn't it funny how most problems in life are just about not having enough air flow and a dry place to land? Seems like everything from worm bins to closets to relationships suffocates when you pile too much wet stuff on without giving it room to breathe.
