I just realized I spent $60 on a 'rare' anime DVD that turned out to be a bootleg from a convention last year.

The subtitles were so badly translated the main character seemed to be yelling about potato salad during a dramatic fight scene, has anyone else gotten tricked by a fake copy?

Got burned on a bootleg game once. Now I just check the seller reviews super carefully before buying anything "rare" online.
