Found out Naruto filler episodes hit 41% of total...

I was scrolling through some anime stats site last night, legit just killing time, and I saw that Naruto has like 91 filler episodes total out of 220. That blew my mind lmao. I spent hours watching that show when I was younger and had no clue almost half of it was just filler. Makes me wonder if I even remember the real plot or just random stuff they made up. Has anyone else found a stat like that for an anime you grew up on?

Just start counting the "real" episodes and you'll realize you were watching some random side character learn to cook ramen for 10 episodes straight. Naruto's filler percentage makes me feel like I wasted half my childhood on made up nonsense that didn't even matter. Guess that explains why I can describe every detail of that stupid curry of life arc but barely remember the actual war.

But here's the thing nobody talks about. That filler actually shaped the whole fandom's memory of the show. We all bonded over the dumb stuff. The curry of life arc, the Mecha Naruto episode, the infinite tsukuyomi dream filler. It became inside jokes. Shared trauma. Made the community tighter. So maybe the filler wasn't worthless. It just served a different purpose. Something to talk about when the real plot got too heavy or confusing.
