The lab tech in Tulsa showed me my fixer was dead and I had been reusing it for 8 rolls
I was dropping off a roll at a lab in Tulsa last month and the guy tested my fixer with a snip of film. It cleared in about 4 minutes instead of 30 seconds, so every roll from the past 2 months has that milky look. Do you all test your fixer with a film clip, or just count rolls and pitch it?
Heard a guy on a podcast say he tests fixer before every session, takes ten seconds. Been doing the clip test since then and caught mine going bad twice already. Counting rolls alone is a gamble, the stuff dies faster in summer heat.
