Vent: A client in Phoenix insisted I run the main panel wire through their finished attic last month, and I found a nest of chewed cables from a previous install that had been live for who knows how long.
Has anyone else had to deal with hidden rodent damage in a finished space, and what's your go-to method for a safe, clean reroute when the customer doesn't want to open a wall?

Yikes, that's a nightmare find. I'd push hard for surface-mount conduit along a ceiling joist or corner. It's the safest fix without tearing everything out, even if it's not the prettiest.

Ugh, I feel that pain. @harper_gibson2 is totally right about surface conduit being the safe move. I had a wire buried in plaster just like that in my old kitchen. We tried to hide it and it was a constant worry every time we hung a shelf. Running a slim channel along the top edge of the ceiling trim actually looked fine once it was painted. It beats opening up a wall and finding a bigger mess.
