That old timer told me to grease the jack points and I ignored him
I had a 30 year mechanic at my last place, guy named Frank, tell me to always put anti-seize on the jack point threads during C checks. I figured it was just extra work and skipped it because I was in a hurry. Next time I had to do a gear swing on a 737, two of those bolts were completely seized and I spent 4 hours drilling them out. Should have listened to Frank, has anyone else had a senior guy give advice that seemed dumb but saved your butt later?

idk it's like how you always regret not listening to the old heads about shit, they've just seen it all go wrong before
