Had a 30 year old lavatory service valve crack in my hand on a 737 last month. Felt like a time capsule.

My old phone screen shattered while I was just texting on the couch. The key is to put clear packing tape over the whole screen right away. It keeps the glass from falling out and cuts your fingers. Then you can still use it to back up your photos before getting it fixed.
