Hit 500 AI edits last month and 40 percent had that same fake eye glint, check your outputs
I was cleaning up my hard drive on Sunday and noticed I had processed exactly 512 AI-edited photos in March, which is way more than I thought. I started spot checking the eyes because a friend in Denver told me her portrait client complained about a weird shine. Turns out around 200 of the 512 shots had the same tell, a tiny bright dot in the same spot on both pupils. It looks fine on a phone screen but blows up ugly at 100 percent zoom. Some of these tools also smooth the iris texture so much it looks like plastic up close. Anyone else seeing this pattern, and do you fix it manually or just swap models when it shows up?
Man, 200 out of 512 is a crazy high hit rate, that's almost 40 percent. When you zoom in on those bright dots, are they sitting in the exact same pixel spot on every face, or does it shift around depending on the angle of the head? I'm asking because if it's locked to the same spot no matter what, that points to one specific model's eye layer, not just a general upscale problem. Which tools were you running when the plastic iris showed up?
