Webinar clash over AI script writing felt personal

At a marketing webinar last Tuesday, every panelist was gushing about AI tools for writing sales scripts. I had to jump in because I saw it go wrong. A cafe on my delivery route used an AI to write their newsletter. The text was stiff and full of odd phrases. Regulars told the owner it felt like spam, not a friendly update. I said in the chat that AI can mess up the brand voice if you're not careful. A few people called me old-fashioned, but I held my ground. It was tense, but someone later messaged me saying they had the same worry.

That cafe story proves the point perfectly. My own jokes are so old school they probably count as vintage, but at least they sound like me. These tools just recycle words without the warmth. You were right to speak up at that webinar. Getting called old-fashioned beats putting out spammy work. Glad someone else messaged you about it too.

Yeah, "recycle words without the warmth" is exactly it. I started running old drafts through a grammar checker and it tried to change "the sky was that perfect after-storm blue" to "the sky was clear." It fixes the "problem" but kills the feeling. Now I only use it for basic typos, never for voice.
