Yeah those "local experience" pushes are the worst. I almost booked a "hidden gem" restaurant last month that turned out to be a tourist trap chain.

Ugh, I feel that. It's like when a paint color is called "artisanal cave mushroom" but it's just the same beige every landlord uses. The whole "hidden gem" thing is now just code for "we paid for ads." Nothing says authentic local experience like a forced rustic sign and overpriced fries.
