A fresh set of handprints on my nearly done table

I turned my back for one minute to grab a rag. My two-year-old left a perfect set of prints in the polyurethane. Now I'm back to square one with the sanding. Maybe invest in a baby gate for the shop. It's not worth the rework.

Ugh, that's so frustrating! How long had you been working on that table? I can totally picture the tiny handprints in the finish. Kids have a way of finding the worst possible moment to explore, don't they? Sanding it all back sounds like a huge pain, but at least it's a fixable mistake. A baby gate might be a good idea for next time, though!

You mentioned baby gates... I read they're key for any room with wet paint or finish.

My THREE-year-old's handprints on my desk made me a baby gate believer.
