Flea market in Portland taught me to check dollar bin before new arrivals
I always hit new arrival crates first at this monthly flea market in Portland. Last Saturday some older dude was flipping through the dollar bin and pulled out a first press of that Herbie Hancock album, mint sleeve and all. I laughed it off until he showed me the matrix numbers and it checked out. Now I spend my first 20 minutes in the cheap bins before anything else, already found a 1965 mono copy of Coltrane for $3 that I flipped for $80 online. Anyone else skip the dollar bin and regret missing a score like that?
