That $11 garlic press made me furious, then I got it
Bought a cheap garlic press at the dollar store for $11 and it bent on the third clove. I was ready to throw it across the kitchen. But then I realized I was pressing too hard because the cloves were too big. I started cutting them in half first and now the thing works fine. Why does no one tell you that part? Has anyone else figured out a gadget is fine once you change how you use it?
