Shoutout to deleting social media apps from my phone
I always thought I needed them for connection, but removing them has freed up so much mental space and time.

Honestly, I've tried that a few times and it always backfires for me. I end up feeling more disconnected from my actual friends and missing out on local events or hobby groups that mostly organize online. The constant pull is exhausting, but so is the fear of missing out on the useful connections buried in all the noise. For me, it's about ruthless curation, muting accounts that cause stress, and using the browser version to create friction.

Tuesday nights, my phone stays in another room... forces friend time.

What if you used the phone as part of the hangout instead? Like everyone picks dumb memes to show each other. Turns the thing you're avoiding into the activity itself.
