Rant: My minimalist bedroom makeover has been stalled by indecision for six months
I keep rearranging the same three items and can't commit to letting anything else go. When did you break through your own paralysis in simplifying a space?

Oh, I hit a wall like that too... Remember reading about the "20/20 rule" in Joshua Fields Millburn's essay, where if you can replace an item for less than $20 in under 20 minutes, you can probably let it go. Started applying that to my closet, just asking if I'd bother rebuying that vague decorative bowl. It shifted my focus from loss to practical replaceability, which weirdly freed up my decisions.

Yeah, that rule is a GAME-CHANGER for cutting through clutter indecision. I used it on my tool shed last spring and ended up donating a BUNCH of stuff I was clinging to. Turns out most of it was just taking up space I needed for actual projects.

Totally! That rule clarifies so much.
