Yard signs brought in more fencing jobs than any ad campaign

Digital ads are supposed to be key. But for local service work, a simple sign gets attention. Neighbors notice and reach out directly.

Disagree with @henry101 here. Yard signs create local buzz that ads just can't match. People see my work every day and it sticks in their mind. Digital ads might target folks, but they scroll right past them. My signs get neighbors talking and that brings in calls long after the job is done.

You said yard signs brought in more jobs, but my experience is the opposite. Digital ads let me target the exact neighborhoods I want to work in, and I get calls while the project is still fresh in their mind. A yard sign sits there for weeks and people forget or never even look up your info. I've had way more steady work from a simple Google Ads setup than any sign I've ever put out. It feels like digital just works faster and more directly for me.

Wasn't there some study about how people trust local signs more than online ads? I mean, @henry101 makes a good point about digital being fast, but maybe signs feel more real to neighbors.
