Appreciation post: My Tokyo kpop fest trip showed me where the real news is
I saved up to fly to Tokyo for that big kpop festival last month. Half the groups were fresh debuts I only knew from social media clips. Watching them perform live felt like getting the updates straight from the source, not just reading about it. Anyone who thinks online news is enough hasn't seen a crowd react to a new song live. My bank account hurts, but I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

Craig's spot on about catching raw talent. I always check if a rookie group can actually perform before I get into them online.
