Man, watching that bounce back hurts worse than the initial drop sometimes. What finally worked for me was making a strict rule to never sell on a red day, no matter how scary it looks. I wrote my reasons for buying something on a note and only let myself cash out if those reasons totally changed. It keeps me from making a scared choice that just locks in the loss.
