Noticing more folks making Regency gowns, and my mom thought I was in a costume contest

I mean, idk, maybe it's just me but when she saw my new dress and asked if I was going to a party, it was kinda awkward explaining it's just for fun.

Ugh, that's always so awkward. I just say I'm into historical sewing and leave it at that. In my experience, keeping it simple works better than a long explanation.
