Vent: A client brought her toddler who decided to give my scissors a trim

The kid grabbed them off the station and snipped a chunk of her own bangs before I could react. How do you handle surprise interruptions in the middle of a cut?

Sometimes the biggest truths hide in life's small, messy interruptions.

Picture this: you're mid-cut and a toddler goes for your scissors. They chop their own bangs before you can move. That's a free trim service they didn't ask for. Next time, maybe hide the tools or add a surprise kid fee to your list. Kids turning your work into their play time is just part of the deal. You either laugh about it or you get real tired real fast.

Murphy.ruby totally nailed it with kids turning your work into play time. I had a kid snatch my thinning shears once and pretend to cut his teddy bear's hair, I almost had a heart attack. Another time, a toddler crawled under my station and unplugged my clippers mid-cut. You just have to stay calm and see the funny side, or you'd lose your mind. Honestly, those moments are why I keep my tools locked up now. Makes every day an adventure lol.
