Mom's last-minute color changes were wrecking my schedule

Now I have her text me a week in advance if she wants something new. This gives me time to plan and stops our chats from becoming all about work.

Nah, I really don't see it that way. A rule about my own time isn't meant to be a personal attack on her. It's just a line I need for my own peace. Sometimes you gotta put your own oxygen mask on first, you know? If I'm burned out and bitter, that's worse for everyone. This keeps me steady so I can actually be present when we talk.
