Unpopular opinion: My missing paint roller during the kitchen refresh was not a glitch

I was painting my kitchen walls last weekend and set my roller on the drop cloth. I turned to mix more paint, and when I looked back, it was gone. I checked under the cloth, behind the fridge, everywhere. An hour later, I found it in the basement, a place I hadn't been all day. Folks on here would call that a matrix glitch, but I think I just carried it down without thinking. In my roofing work, tools get misplaced all the time because you're focused on the job. It's easy to blank on small actions when your mind is busy. Calling it a reality shift feels like ignoring how forgetful we can be.

Entire rooms is right, @fionas39. It starts with one corner getting messy and then it just spreads until you can't even use the space for what it's meant for. My guest bedroom is just a holding zone for donation bags and random junk now. You have to declare war on that stuff or it takes over everything.
