My missing sock saga has me doubting the whole glitch hype

I swear I saw a blue sock in my laundry basket yesterday, but today it's not there. Stuff like this happens all the time, and people jump to say it's reality breaking. I think most of these events are just us not remembering things right. It's easier to blame the universe than admit we're a bit scatterbrained. Honestly, I've had more true glitches in old video games than in real life.

Check the back corner of your dryer drum and the rubber seal around the door, that's where my missing ones always end up. Honestly, static cling can launch a sock into another dimension, or just under the washer. Tbh, @jason_black2 has a point about reality being a bit wonky sometimes, but most of the time it's just normal forgetfulness mixed with bad luck. I've had a single sock vanish and then show up weeks later stuck inside a pant leg. Ngl, it's probably not a glitch, but it's fun to imagine a sock demon instead of my own messy laundry habits. Some stuff just stays a small mystery.

My dryer ate three socks last month.

Funny how the sock thing keeps happening to everyone. Maybe our brains are bad at keeping track, but what if reality is just as bad at holding itself together? Those old video game glitches happened in a made up world with set rules, and they still broke. Our rules might be messier.
