TIL a lot of folks are still using the wrong cleaner on tinted storefront glass
I was helping a buddy clean up a job in Tacoma last week and saw him grab a blue glass cleaner with ammonia. He sprayed it right on a big tinted pane we'd just put in. In my experience, that stuff can make the tint film bubble up or turn purple over time. I showed him the bottle I keep in my truck, a simple vinegar and water mix in a spray bottle. It cuts the grime without hurting the film. What do you all use for cleaning tinted commercial jobs?

Vinegar and water is the only way to go, honestly.

Nah, you're missing out. That mix leaves streaks on glass every single time. I tried it on my truck's windshield and it was a cloudy mess. A little dish soap in warm water works way better for cutting through grime. Vinegar just doesn't have the cleaning power for real dirt.

Maybe my windshield just has low standards?
