Reading the worst reviews first changed my gadget buying for the better.
I used to skip over the low-star reviews when looking at new gadgets. Now I make a point to read them first, and it's helped me avoid several duds. Does anyone else prioritize the critical feedback?

Honestly, that's smart. But do you ever find that the really bad reviews are just about user error, like people not reading the manual? How do you tell the difference between that and a real design flaw?

I totally get that. I bought a fancy blender last year after only skimming the good reviews, and the lid cracked after two weeks. What gadget did you almost buy before the bad reviews changed your mind?

Yeah it's weird how we ignore red flags when we really want something. I mean I almost got one of those smart mugs that heats your coffee, but then I saw like ten people saying it just dies after a month. Feels like every cool gadget has that one huge flaw.
