Showerthought: My grandad's ink mixing kit versus my smartphone app.
I was digging through my grandad's old desk and found his handmade ink mixing kit. It's all glass droppers and handwritten notes in a ledger. Now I use an app that calculates ratios and shares recipes INSTANTLY. Part of me misses the TACTILE, guess-and-check method, but the app saves SO much time. What do you all think? Is the old way better for creativity, or is precision king?

Ever try using the old kit just for fun? I used to swear by hands-on stuff too, but now I get why faster is better sometimes.

Grab the old kit when you need a creative break (it helps reset your brain). But yeah, for daily tasks, speed wins every time.

Remember how we used to spend an hour just setting up a shot with manual focus? I still pull out my old film camera when a project feels stale. Slowing down to load the roll and meter the light clears my head every time. But for client work or just daily snaps, you can't beat the speed of modern gear.
