Overheard a weird tip about ink mixing at the local pen shop
I was picking up some paper at Pen Haven yesterday and heard a guy telling the clerk he adds a single drop of distilled water to his shimmer inks after they sit for a month. He said it keeps the particles from clumping at the bottom of the bottle without changing the color much. I tried it with a sample of a popular gold shimmer ink that had gotten thick, and after 3 days it flowed way better in my pen. Has anyone else tried this trick with other types of ink, like ones with sheen?

Honestly that whole story just shows how people love a quick fix. We see it with everything from car repairs to home cooking, right? Someone finds a shortcut that works once and suddenly it's gospel, even if it ruins things for the next ten people. Water in ink feels like that, a tiny change that could go perfectly or turn into a huge mess. Why do we always gamble with the stuff we care about just to save a little effort?
