My ink mix refused to blend until I added a marble

I mean, I combined a blue and a red to make purple, but they kept separating. Idk, maybe it's just me, but dropping a clean marble in and shaking it blended them perfectly.

Seriously, marbles are weirdly good for that. I had the same problem with watercolors until I dropped a glass bead in. Now I keep a few in my art supplies for stubborn mixes.

Nah, marbles scratch the palette and waste paint.

Yeah, but if you shake it in a closed jar, @the_fiona, it never hits the palette. A clean marble doesn't waste paint, it just gets things moving.
