Thought preheating molds was a waste until my casts came out cleaner.

It stops cracks and makes the surface way smoother.

Oh man, totally learned that the hard way. My first few tries were a mess with cold molds... night and day difference once I started warming them up.

My buddy tried making resin keychains for the first time without warming his mold and it looked like a bubbly mess, lol. His kitchen counter was covered in these weird lumpy things that snapped when he tried to get them out. Reading @kellyw44's comment about the night and day difference is spot on, because once he finally listened and warmed the mold his next batch came out totally smooth. He was so mad he wasted a bunch of resin on those first ugly ones.
