Pro tip: My 2018 F-150's blend door actuator took a whole weekend to fix, not an hour.

I followed the common advice that it's a quick job behind the glovebox, but the specific design on my truck with the dual-zone climate meant the whole dash support beam was in the way. It took me about 14 hours over two days to carefully drop the steering column and remove enough trim to get a straight shot at the last bolt. Has anyone else with the newer body style run into this specific access nightmare?

Saw a forum post where someone with a 2019 had the exact same problem as @mia_lee. They said the dash crossmember on the newer trucks makes that one top bolt almost impossible without dropping the column. Sounds like Ford really changed the design from the older models.

I used to think it was easy until my 2017 took me a whole Saturday.
