Bought a cheap moisture meter off a truck and it cost me a job

The thing read 8% on a slab, so I went ahead and glued down that engineered floor. Two days later, the homeowner calls with cupping boards and I'm out the $1200 for materials. What's a decent meter that won't lie to me?
