My 2005 iPod was a brick until I found a cheap battery on eBay
It sat in a drawer for almost two years, completely dead and unresponsive. I finally ordered a replacement battery kit for $12 and watched a YouTube tutorial. After swapping it out, the thing powered right up and all my old playlists were still there. Has anyone else brought one of these back from the dead recently?

That feeling of fixing something old is so good. It's like beating planned obsolescence for a minute. More people should try simple repairs like this.
