My first roll of film came back with a weird green tint
I shot a roll of Kodak Gold 200 in my grandpa's old camera last week. The pictures from the start of the roll were fine, but the last ten shots had this strong green color cast. I realized I'd left the camera on a sunny car seat for an hour after finishing the roll, and the heat must have messed with the film. Has anyone else cooked their film by accident?

My uncle's Pentax K1000 sat in his hot attic for a summer and it did the same thing to a roll of Fuji Superia. That heat can really shift the colors, especially in the last shots on the roll since they're wound tightest on the spool. I've heard keeping film cool is almost as important as keeping it dark before you develop it. It's a bummer, but those green shots have a weird, cool look that you can't really plan for.

Yeah, that tight winding explains why the damage isn't even across the whole roll.

Heat ruins film, simple as that.
