Film's calm vs. crazy effect on my mood

I got into film hoping it would help my nerves, and sometimes the slow steps are like a zen moment. But then I'll ruin a whole roll and feel totally rattled for hours. So is this hobby actually good for stress or just another thing to worry about? Tell me, does film photography ease your mind or add to your stress load?

Totally get that feeling, it used to drive me nuts too. What finally helped was ditching the idea that every roll needed to be perfect. Treating the messed up shots as just part of the process, like a practice run, took a lot of pressure off. Now the slow parts are still calm for me, and a bad frame doesn't ruin the whole day. It flipped from being a stress point to my most chill hobby.

Have you seen how this perfection thing pops up everywhere? Like with cooking, where one burnt dish feels like a TOTAL failure, but really it's just info for next time. Or in video games, getting stuck on a level used to make me rage, but now I see it as part of the fun. It's all about dropping that need for everything to go RIGHT on the first try. Makes daily stuff way more CHILL when you're not fighting every little mistake. Your photo story just proves the same pattern works for hobbies too.
