That one week I ruined six yards of expensive Italian wool

I was working on a custom suit for a client and kept making tiny mistakes with the cutting pattern, ended up wasting about $300 worth of fabric before I realized my seam allowance guide was loose. Has anyone else had a string of bad luck like that where you just couldn't figure out the simple stuff?

$300 for six yards of Italian wool feels like a lot honestly. I've messed up fabric before but that was operator error not a loose guide. You should have caught that early on when you noticed the cuts felt off. Sometimes we overcomplicate simple stuff but that one is on you.

Is it just me or does that kind of thinking apply to a lot of things in life, where we ignore the little warning signs until it's too late, @rivera.henry? That's a tough lesson to learn on a $300 project though.

$300 for six yards of Italian wool feels like a lot honestly" ... wait, that's actually pretty standard for good quality Italian fabric, @rivera.henry. I've paid more than that for wool that wasn't even that nice. If it was something like Loro Piana or Holland & Sherry, $300 is probably a steal for six yards honestly.
