Realized I was running meetings like I was pouring concrete
Used to start every Monday status with a full agenda, 30 minute blocks, strict order. Thought that was leadership. Then my foreman Frank told me "you're just dumping the truck and hoping it levels itself." That hit different. Now I leave the first 10 minutes open for people to say what they actually need to talk about. Way less rework on projects. Anyone else find that loosening the structure got better results?

My buddy tried that. Crew stopped arguing.

Love hearing stuff like this. It's crazy how just one person stepping up can change the whole vibe. Most crews just need a little push to get back on track. Sounds like your buddy found the right way to do it without making things worse.
