Had a board member call me out in a strategy session yesterday and it totally changed how I run things
We were reviewing Q3 numbers at our regional office in Nashville when one of our board members, a guy named Frank, asked me straight up why I was still approving projects that didn't align with our core mission. He pointed out three initiatives I'd been championing that were just noise, not growth. It hit me hard because he was right, I'd been saying yes to stuff that felt good instead of what actually moved the needle. Has anyone else had a board or senior leader call them out like that and how did you handle the shift in focus?
