The client who wanted me to 'fix' her eyebrows with a butter knife

So this lady comes in last Tuesday and sits down, totally serious, and pulls a butter knife out of her purse. She said she uses it at home to scrape between her brows and wanted to know if I had a better tool lol. I just stared at her for a solid 5 seconds before telling her no, please put that away. Has anyone else had clients bring in their own weird tools?

My friend who does nails had a lady come in once with a pair of rusty pliers. She said she used them to pull off her cuticles at home and thought maybe my friend had a better technique. My friend said she just stood there for a minute not knowing what to say. She ended up giving her a whole spiel about infections and proper tools. The lady left but came back the next week with a little nail kit from the drugstore instead. Some people just need someone to gently point them in the right direction.

Ha rusty pliers, that's a new one for the home spa collection. Honestly, I'm just glad she upgraded to a drugstore kit instead of grabbing a wrench from the garage. Gotta appreciate a happy ending where nobody ends up with tetanus.
