Serious question, my Wednesday client came in with a chemical burn from a DIY peel kit

It was a normal week until this client walked in, her skin was red and peeling in patches. She bought a 30% glycolic acid kit online and left it on for 15 minutes, twice what the box said. I spent over an hour just calming the inflammation with cool compresses and a super basic aloe gel. The whole thing threw my schedule off by like two hours. Has anyone else had to deal with fixing a bad at-home treatment, and what's your first step?
