Serious question, has anyone else compared a 15-minute steam session to a 5-minute one for extractions?
I used to do the longer steam thinking it was better, but after a client had some irritation, I cut it down. The shorter time actually softens the skin enough without overdoing it, and my extraction results are way cleaner now. Anyone have a different sweet spot for steam timing?

My own skin agrees with @elizabeth_gonzalez, five minutes is the limit.

Yeah, I landed on 7 minutes as my go-to. It's that perfect middle ground where the pores are ready but the skin isn't angry at you.

Seven minutes? That's way too long for most people. You ever notice how red your skin gets after that? My face would be on fire. Five minutes max gets the job done without the irritation, especially if you have sensitive skin. Pushing it longer just seems like asking for trouble.
