Switching to a visual checklist for each service call changed my approach
I started taking photos before and after every job to track my work. It caught a loose bracket I would have missed last week.

That's smart, but photos alone aren't really a visual checklist. A checklist is a list of things to check, you know? The photos are proof you did the checks, which is maybe even better.

Using photos as proof instead of a checklist shows how people mix up results with process. I see this all the time in daily life, like when folks showcase outcomes but hide the work behind them. It creates an illusion of completeness without actual guidance. Checklists force you to confirm each step, which photos simply can't do. Relying on pictures alone is just lazy and misses the point of having a system.

My team switched to checklists last year, saved hours.
