That week I fixed three identical TV power boards in a row
Last Tuesday I had a guy drop off a 55 inch Vizio with no power, dead caps on the power supply. Wednesday morning a different guy rolls in with the exact same TV, same issue. Then Thursday a third one shows up from a pawn shop. Three boards in three days, all the same bad caps near the main transformer. I had enough 680uF 25v caps on hand to fix all three in about 20 minutes each. Has anyone else ever had a weird run like that where the same model keeps showing up?

Tbh that kind of thing happens way more often than people realize. It's like how you'll see three red cars in a row after barely noticing any for a week, or how a certain song will pop up on three different playlists in the same day. I think there's something to be said about how our brains just tune into patterns after the first one triggers our attention. Once you fix that first Vizio, your eyes are just open to seeing the next two pop up. The universe has weird timing like that.
