Rant: The Monday in Everett where every call was a panel swap

Last Monday, I had three service calls scheduled, and every single one was for a 100 amp to 200 amp panel upgrade. The first house was a 1950s rambler, the second was a small rental unit, and the third was a corner store. By the end of the day, my back was killing me from all the bending and pulling wire. Has anyone else had a day where the same job just kept repeating?

Read an article last week about how all the old 60s and 70s houses in that area are hitting the point where their wiring and panels just give out at the same time. Sounds like you found the proof of that theory, three times over. A whole day of just panel swaps sounds like a special kind of muscle ache, especially in those tight old spaces. That corner store job at the end of the day must have felt like a mean joke. Hope you at least got a steady rhythm going by the third one.

Yeah sagesingh, the panels were mostly 80s and 90s, but the point stands. My back definitely agrees with you about that muscle ache.
