Vent: I dropped $450 on a 'pro' drywall sander that was a total letdown
I saw all the hype online for the Dustless Sanding System 5000 and bit the hook. Used it on a whole house job in Phoenix last month. The thing was heavy, the hose kept kinking, and it clogged up after just two rooms. I ended up finishing the job with my old pole sander and a shop vac, which worked better and faster. I feel like I just paid for a fancy name and a box of headaches. Has anyone else had a bad experience with a high end tool that just didn't live up to the price?

Mine's been a workhorse for years, but your mileage may vary.

Seriously, it's just a car.

What kind of car are you talking about? I had a sedan that started making this awful grinding noise every time I turned left, and the repair bill was just insane. It's crazy how they can go from fine to a money pit overnight, right?
