Finishing a job with those new lightweight sheets gave me a smile

I was putting up drywall in a tight attic space yesterday. The lighter panels meant I could handle them alone, something that was impossible for me in the past. What's one change in materials or tools that has made your workday better?

Try switching from a regular drill to a brushless impact driver if you haven't yet. My old drill felt like wrestling a brick after a few hours overhead. Got a smaller one, a Milwaukee M12, and the difference in weight and kickback is huge. My shoulder doesn't ache at the end of the day, and it's way easier to control in tight spots like your attic.

Funny how a small tool change can prove you wrong. Used to think lightweight power tools were mostly marketing until seeing @bettyhunt talk about her brushless driver. Switched myself and finally get it. That less weight and kickback means way less strain on your arms and wrists, plus the control is just better when you're squeezed into a corner.

Yeah, it's one of those things you don't realize is a problem until it's gone. I held onto my old corded drill forever, thought the new stuff was just hype. Then I saw @bettyhunt's post and figured I'd try a lighter driver. My elbow used to be sore for days after a big project, but that just stopped. It's not about being weak, it's about not fighting your own tools all day. The difference in control alone makes the switch worth it.
