Found a nasty surprise in my cooling unit after 3 months of use
I thought I was keeping my Arizer Solo clean by just blowing out the stem after each session. Then last week I decided to actually take the cooling unit apart for a deep clean. Big mistake, I should have done this way sooner. There was sticky resin buildup caked into every little groove and it took me 45 minutes with isopropyl and pipe cleaners to get it all out. I could taste the difference immediately on the next bowl, way cleaner flavor. Now I'm doing a full disassembly every 2 weeks instead. Anyone else find gunk hiding in spots they didn't think to check?

Man it's like finding mold behind your fridge, you never think to look till it's too late.

Oh man, did your friend ever find out what it was? I had a buddy who noticed a weird smell in his kitchen for weeks and kept thinking it was the trash. Finally he pulled out his fridge to clean behind it and found a whole colony of mold growing back there, plus some old food that had somehow rolled under. He said it was like a horror movie behind that fridge, totally disgusting. You're so right @gibson.sean, by the time you notice it, it's already way worse than you thought.
