A simple moment with my son made my drafting day

I was finishing up a house plan late yesterday. My little boy looked at my screen and said the bathroom door would hit the sink. I checked and he was right, I had drawn it wrong. Changing it took just a minute but saved me big trouble. Kids notice things we rush past sometimes.

Holy cow, fresh eyes on a project are the best. I make my partner look at my work for two minutes before I call it done. Your kid just gave you the perfect free QA check.

Kids might not catch the big problems.

No way! Kids catch stuff all the time. Just last week, my niece spotted a typo in my report that I'd reviewed over and over. She asked why a button said "submit" twice, and it was a huge glitch. Adults get stuck in their own heads and miss the simple things. From what I've seen, kids notice details we just filter out. Your mileage may vary, but in my case, they've saved me from some awkward fixes.
