Talked to a janitor at the bus station about glue guns
I was waiting for the 7am bus last Tuesday and this janitor sat down next to me. He saw my Dollar Tree glue gun poking out of my bag and asked if I ever used it to fix the bristles on a push broom. I said no and he explained how you can put a bead of hot glue along the base of the bristles to keep them from splaying out. It hit different because I spent $12 on a new broom last month when I could have just fixed the old one for a dollar. Anyone else got weird repair tips from strangers that actually worked?

@irisw73 that cooler tip is gold, never would have thought of that. Funny how the best advice comes from people working the worst hours. Wonder how many other glue gun fixes are out there that no ones ever thought to write down.

That glue gun trick is solid. Heard a guy at a truck stop once say he uses the same method on the rubber seals of his cooler to keep them from warping, worked like a charm.
