My $15 thrift store grinder broke after 3 weeks - here's what happened
Found a random blade grinder at Goodwill near my house in Phoenix for $15. Thought I was smart skipping the fancy stuff. After 3 weeks, the plastic coupling snapped clean in half grinding some darker roast beans. Now I'm stuck with a pile of uneven grounds and no machine on a Tuesday morning. Anyone got a cheap hand grinder that actually lasts more than a month?

Ever notice how the cheap version of something always breaks at the worst possible time? It's like the universe punishes you for trying to save money on a Tuesday morning. I've had this happen with a blender from a garage sale, a toaster from a flea market, and even a pair of headphones from a discount bin. They all worked fine for a few weeks, then just gave up when I needed them most. My thought is sometimes spending a little more upfront saves a lot of headache later.

Did your friend ever try fixing that blender or just toss it?
